Learn how you can significantly reduce build times by optimizing your CI/CD pipelines.
Identify Bottlenecks
First, measure the duration of your pipeline stages. The most time-consuming steps are usually dependency installation and test execution. Don't optimize without measuring.
Caching and Parallelization
Cache dependencies and intermediate build artifacts. Split independent work into parallel jobs. Run test suites concurrently by sharding them.
Docker Layer Optimization
Keep rarely changing layers at the top of your Dockerfile to make the best use of the build cache. Use multi-stage builds to reduce image size and therefore deployment time.
